Healing Sarajevo Healed Me Too..

The year 2017 has been a lot of travels for me but it was back to my home base, Cebu. My Dad relapsed and when we lost him, I went through an emotional roller coaster ride. Back in Abu Dhabi, I felt like I needed to take a vacation from all my previous vacations. It was not to forget what happened but to take time to think and digest what I went through. We booked our tickets on a whim for this Bosnia and Herzegovina trip. Mimi saw a package trip on sale, she just called us about it and we just bought it without research. Thus our travel to another country for this year is ticked from our travel list. After purchasing our air ticket + hotel package, that evening we researched how to get a visa and the must go to places in BiH. In the next few weeks, we applied for a visa (got it after a week!) and we decided to contact a local travel agency, Sarajevo Funky Tours to make our trip smooth and easy. The days went by in a blur and travel day came fast! We woke up at 4:00 AM ...

It's Rissy's Birthday and It's a Miracle That We Are Not Off Somewhere In a Different Place

My friends and I started our trips outside of UAE in 2015. It has always been around October because it is the time of the year where it is not that cold yet -  no snow, just a light jacket kind of weather. Out of all those trips, Rese has spent her birthday on 2 occasions. One in Georgia 2015 and the other one in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2017. This year, we did not catch our favorite airline FlyDubai having any seat sale so that is probably why we were not able to book any excursion at this time. Due to that, we decided to do it Abu Dhabi local style. We went on a picnic! haha Summer is over in UAE so it is also picnic season. Shops will start selling camping and picnic stuff, and people will start going to parks to go on a picnic or do some barbecue. We did just that and had a great time. Here is a video we made for that special occasion: Happy birthday to our friend Rese. We hope we will have a chance to travel on your birthday again.

Unintentionally Got Myself that Coveted US Visa, Here's a Quick Guide for Filipinos in UAE

Do you believe in the saying, "True love waits"? I do now. We all have someone in the family whom we thought will never get married or in other words who will turn into an old maid.  Laika's big sister, Ate Ledg was one of those people. Or so we thought.  You might wonder why I am writing this.  To cut the story short,  Ate Ledg found her Prince Charming and they decided to marry in New York in the last quarter of 2016. Being a great sister, Laika helped out with the planning and preparation and what better way to celebrate a wedding than physically  being  there. Laika really wanted to witness this blissful day. So of course, clingy as we always are, Rissy and I wanted to tag along. That's where it all started. We decided to apply for a US Tourist Visa. Extensive research happened. All three of us put our heads together to gather all the information we can get. Don't tell my boss by the way - sometimes work and research happened simultaneous...

Happy Sh*tting in Armenia

Image
So it has been a year since our trip to Armenia. As usual, we had bloopers and misadventures which I would love to tell you all about. Our (Laika and I) desire to go on trips to explore new countries and their culture prompted me to check on cheapest flight out of the country.  Every. Single. Day.  Thus, our trip to Armenia.  Statue of Mother Armenia I am the one who always gets to discover cheap flights and seat sales because I make it a part of my daily routine to check the websites of the usual airlines that we fly with. This is no exception. When Flydubai went on sale, I immediately rang my friends and they agreed to book tickets to Yerevan. As traveling requires planning, what better way to do it than talk about it over dinner at our favorite Korean Restaurant - Hankook. (Insert Jhun and Benie) Before diving into more details about the trip, check out the video we made. It is a bit shaky because I did not have a gimbal. I will do better ...
